The Department of Biology at Temple University seeks qualified individuals for its undergraduate biology laboratory courses. Teaching responsibilities primarily would involve undergraduate laboratory-based courses, including introductory biology for majors and nonmajors, and genetics. Applicants for adjunct instructor positions should have a bachelor’s degree in the life sciences. Applicants for adjunct professor (assistant/associate) levels should have a Master’s degree or doctoral degree. Prior teaching experience is desirable, but enthusiasm for developing instructional skills is welcomed. Long-term professional development opportunities in teaching are possible. Salary is competitive and is based on educational rank and prior experience.
