Compared to the Professional Science Master's Programs that are oriented towards technical training and careers in industry, our M.S. and M.A. programs are oriented towards those with more academic interests, including future application to Ph.D. programs at Temple and at other institutions. Unlike the Ph.D. program, Master's students are typically self-supported. The M.S. program is oriented towards more traditional scientific research, while the M.A. program is oriented towards those with academic interests that interface between biology and other areas like education, the arts, and outreach. More information on the M.S. program can be found here. Students may also find relevant information on departmental research through the descriptions for the Ph.D. program.
