iGEM

Accessible here, the Institute for Genomics and Evolutionary Medicine (iGEM) is a cross-disciplinary research institute located on the 5th and 6th floors of Temple University’s Science Education and Research Center. Bringing together researchers from the College of Science and Technology, the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Public Health, and the College of Medicine, iGEM is undertaking research in the fields of phylomedicine, disease evolution, genome sequencing, precision medicine, protein evolution, cancer evolution, and population genetics. Beyond their research, iGEM faculty are actively engaged in teaching on campus and are working to develop new courses, programs and initiatives to help educate the next generation of scientists in new and emerging fields and methods.
