Postdoctoral Positions

Postdoctoral positions funded by research grants become available from time to time   Inquires from potential postdoctoral candidates are welcome.   

Scientific Programmers

Programmer positions are available to work on the development and maintenance of programs that implement methods of genetic analysis.   A computer science degree,  with experience in algorithms and statistics is recommended.  Applicants will also be considered if they have a Ph.D. or M.S. in some area of genetics,  together with extensive programming experience.  Most development in the Hey lab is done in C/C++ and Python

Graduate Students

Student's wishing to pursue a Ph.D. in population genetics will be considered.  Applicants should be aware that research in the Hey lab is heavily computational and statistical,  as well as evolutionary.

Temple Department of Biology Graduate Program

Undergraduates

Undergraduate researchers are welcome in the Hey lab, generally for credit.  Students should be aware that research in the Hey lab is highly computational, and that most undergraduate researchers are involved in computer programming and data analysis projects.
